It’s Dreadwing’s brother!
You know, the guy Lord Starscream killed and turned into a zombie. He’s green, turns into a jet and becomes an undead shambling corpse, Skyquake!
Poor guy.
Well, I got his toy. So let’s take a look at him!
Vehicle mode
Skyquake is the same jet as Dreadwing but green. He wears his colours well and I think they look better than Dreadwing’s.
Skyquake has the same playability in this mode as his brother Dreadwing. He has permanently deployed landing gear and has 3mm ports under his wings for weapon storage.
Transformation
Skyquake has no mold changes and has the exact same transformation as his bro Dreadwing. That is to say, it’s a good transformation that’s fun to do and gets the job done.
Robot mode
Skyquake is Dreadwing… but green. They’re twins man, what do you want me to say? There’s plenty of painted detail for a figure this size and it makes his robot mode details pop nicely.
Skyquake has the same amount of posabilty as Dreadwing. Which means he has a lot of articulation for a Transformer this size. I still really wish this mold had articulation at the head, it’d make Skyquake and Dreadwing perfect at this size.
Gimmicks
The light piping gimmick is the same as Dreadwing except Skyquake’s clear plastic is orange.
Also, Skyquake’s weapon is brand new… and much nicer than his brother’s. Seriously, Skyquake’s translucent orange BFG mini-gun looks awesome.
Toy or collectible?
Collectible.
Skyquake is freaking rare and is expensive when he pops up for sale. I only have him because he came in a huge lot with the other Prime Cyberverse stuff I got.
Only get him if you’re a diehard Prime or Cyberverse scale collector.
Closing
Honestly, I like Skyquake more than I like Dreadwing. The army green paintjob and enormous gatling gun really do it for me. However, it’s hard to recommend you go out and look for him since he’s expensive these days.
If you find Skyquake for a good price though, go ahead. He’s fun!
