Transformers 2010 Hunt For The Decepticons Legends Ravage Review

Vicious kitten.

Here’s something interesting, a Legends figure in scale with the Deluxe and Voyager figures!

Do you wanna recreate Ravage’s iconic death scene? The scene where Bumblebee shows he’s not just a scout and guardian but a hardened, grisly badass?!

Now you can!

Alternate mode

Already, this Ravage surpasses his Deluxe size counterpart. At least there was some effort put into the “entry” mode. With the nosecone and the back wings, it’s at least semi-convincing as a spaceship of some sort.

It’s still a tacked on Cybertronian mode though. So you’ve got the obvious head and legs exposed. He’s about as good as the first movie Megatron in alt mode if you ask me.

For playability, there’s no wheels but the top of this mode has two swivelling guns that go up and down! It adds to the alien spaceship look.

Transformation

Yeah, he’s a Legends figure with a tacked on alt mode. You already know how to transform this guy just based on the pictures, don’t you?

Robot (Panther) mode

Or is it animal mode? The box says “panther mode”.

Whatever it’s called, it’s great! Ravage is amazing for a Legends figure. I honestly think that even when comparing panther modes, he’s better looking than the Deluxe. He’s molded and painted a lot better than you’d expect.

Comparing the posability, Legends Ravage is a bit limited. He’s got ball joints at the base of all four legs. Only his back legs have hinge knees but both sets of feet have hinge feet. The base of his tail is on a hinge joint and the tip can rotate. His cannons can be aimed up and down. Actually, that’s quite a bit for a Legends Transformer.

Toy or collectible?

Ravage costs how much now?!? RM200?!? $50?!?

Okay, never give him to a child. He’s firmly an adult collectible. Man, I didn’t know he was worth that much. That’s like 4 times as much as the Deluxe figure.

Still, it makes sense. Pretty much all around he’s better than the Deluxe. He’s also much more in scale with other figures compared to the Deluxe. If you like Legends Transformers and Bayverse Transformers in general, Ravage is a nice addition to your collection.

Closing

There’s no doubt that I love little Ravage here. He’s not just a great Legends Transformer, he’s a great Transformer period.

That said, I can’t safely recommend him for $50. If you get a good deal on him, then shoot. Otherwise, it’s up to you to decide what Ravage’s worth.
